Youth Forged operates the Forge Intensive — a 4-week, standards-based development program for ages 14–15.
Modern life has become incredibly comfortable.
Young people spend much of their time in environments that minimize difficulty, risk, and physical effort. While comfort and safety are valuable, human beings develop confidence, resilience, and character through challenge and effort.
Historically, young people naturally encountered:
Demanding physical work
Time outdoors in challenging environments
Mentorship from experienced adults
Situations that required perseverance
These experiences helped develop capable, resilient adults.
Youth Forged intentionally recreates these experiences through mentorship and demanding physical challenges so young people can develop strength, confidence, and character.
"Gen Z is the first generation in modern history to score lower on standardized academic tests than the one before it. They underperformed on basically every cognitive measure, from basic attention, memory, literacy, numeracy, executive function and general IQ." Dr. Jared Cooney
The Forge Intensive is a 4-week, invite-only development program for young adults ages 14–15.
Each week combines:
Physical challenge
Mental pressure
Character and identity coaching
Clear expectations and accountability
This is not a fitness program - This is not therapy - This is not motivational speaking.
It is a structured environment where young people learn to show up, do hard things, and take responsibility for their effort and behavior.
FIVE sessions per week
Fixed session structure
Small, coach-led cohorts
Clear standards for effort, respect, and follow-through
Participants are selected through an application and interview process to protect culture and outcomes.
Youth Forged is funded through community and corporate sponsorships.
Sponsors fund individual participants (“Champions”) and receive:
Clear impact reporting
Documented outcomes
Optional storytelling and recognition
The opportunity to support workforce-ready youth
Sponsorships range from single-cycle support to long-term partnerships.
